Dr. Anurag Tandon is a distinguished Gastroenterologist with over 35 years of rich clinical experience in the field of digestive and liver diseases. He completed his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, followed by a DM in Gastroenterology from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. To further enhance his expertise, he trained in advanced Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Hong Kong, and later gained significant experience in chronic liver disease management and liver transplantation at the renowned Liver Unit, King’s College Hospital, London.
At present, Dr. Tandon serves as the Head of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Metro Centre for Liver and Digestive Diseases, Metro Hospitals & Heart Institute, Noida. His clinical interests include viral hepatitis, acute liver failure, portal hypertension, and the long-term management of chronic liver conditions.
A keen academician and researcher, Dr. Tandon has authored numerous publications in reputed national and international journals. He has presented scientific papers across global platforms and was honored with the Young Investigator Award at the 10th Asian Pacific Congress of Gastroenterology in Yokohama, Japan. He is also the Chairman of the Digestive Diseases Foundation of India and plays an active role in the editorial and scientific activities of Tropical Gastroenterology.
Dr. Tandon has a strong commitment to community health. He has organized awareness programs, immunization drives, and health camps to highlight the importance of early detection and prevention of liver diseases, particularly those linked to Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, alcohol, and obesity-related disorders.
