Dr. A. S. Soin is a pioneer of liver transplantation in India and leads the country’s largest and most successful liver transplant program at Medanta – The Medicity. Under his leadership, the program is internationally recognized for achieving a 95% success rate, with the team performing approximately 25–30 liver transplants every month.
With over 38 years of surgical experience, Dr. Soin has performed more than 2,500 liver transplants, the highest number by any surgeon in India. In addition to transplantation, his expertise spans over 12,000 complex surgeries involving the liver, gall bladder, and bile ducts, reflecting his mastery in advanced hepatobiliary surgery.
