Dr. Rajesh Rajput is a highly respected Endocrinologist and Diabetologist with over 25 years of extensive clinical experience. He is currently Director of Endocrinology & Diabetes and was formerly Senior Professor and Head of the Department of Endocrinology at PGIMS, Rohtak, where he played a key role in academic leadership and patient care.
Dr. Rajput has earned numerous national and international fellowships, including FRCP (Edinburgh), FACE (USA), FICP, FIACM, FISH, FIMSA, FRSSDI, FITS, FIPA, and FDI, reflecting his standing in the global endocrinology community.
An accomplished academician and researcher, he has published over 180 scientific papers in reputed national and international journals. He has also served as co-editor for three major textbooks—ITS Textbook of Thyroid Disorders, Endocrine Disorders in Pregnancy, and Women’s Health in Diabetes. In addition, he has contributed chapters to leading medical references such as the API Textbook of Medicine, Manual of Endocrinology, Medicine Update, and RSSDI Update.
Dr. Rajput is a sought-after speaker and has delivered numerous invited lectures at national conferences. His excellence in research and clinical practice has been recognized through multiple prestigious awards, including the Inspiring Diabetologist/Endocrinologist Award by The Economic Times (2020), Sanofi Aventis Lectureship Oration at APICON 2018 (Bangalore), and the Sadikot Oration Lecture at UPDACON 2020. His research accolades include the AR Seth Gold Medal (ESICON 2007, Tirupati), Silver Medal for Best Poster (ESICON 2010, CMC Vellore), and Best Free Paper Awards at RSSDI 2013 (New Delhi) and APICON 2003 (Varanasi).
In professional leadership, Dr. Rajput has served as Past President of the Indian Thyroid Society (ITS) and as a former Executive Member of the Endocrine Society of India (ESI). He is also an active peer reviewer for several respected journals, including the Journal of Indian Academy of Clinical Medicine (JIACM), Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice, BMJ Case Reports, Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics, IJDDC, and Primary Care Diabetes.
