Dr. Rajiv Parakh – Best Peripheral Vascular & Endovascular Sergeon
Dr. Rajiv Parakh is a distinguished specialist in peripheral vascular and endovascular surgery, with decades of experience in advancing vascular care and education in India and internationally. He currently serves as the National Convener for the vascular surgery teaching program conducted by the National Board of Examiners and is the Vice President of the International Society for Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Parakh obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in the United Kingdom in 1986 and underwent advanced training in vascular surgery there. After returning to India, he played a pioneering role by establishing one of the country’s earliest independent Departments of Vascular Surgery in 1990.
He is a founding member of both the Vascular Society of India and the Endovascular Intervention Society of India, and also holds life membership in the Society of Vascular Surgery. In recognition of his contributions to the field, he was elected Secretary of the International Society for Vascular Surgery, New York, in 2007. He also initiated India’s first government-recognized teaching program in vascular surgery under the National Board of Examiners
